AK

Not sure why but I want one. I never really liked them and have shot thousands of rounds through them. I am looking at a few and man are they expensive.

With sleepy joe and commie I figure they will be outlawed soon. I have a lot of ammo for one and the only thing I have in 7.62x commie is a china sks.

I really want an underfolder. I just happen to have about 10 mags and a few drums for one I brought back from various places.

Anyone else like AK's?

I've never shot one, lately I've been having a craving for a 50 cal.

I always wanted an AK, but wouldn't pay the $300.00 for one when that was the going price. I sure as heck ain't gonna pay the scratch they are going for now. Guess I'll just have to be satisfied with my $100.00 Norinco SKS.

Wouldn't hit a dog in the butt with a .50 BMG unless it was belt fed. Loud obnoxious and tear the hell out of a range berm. Sam I can't believe you have a hankering for an AK as much as I have heard you bad mouth them. Terrible time what with $500.00 Wasr 10's selling for three times that much. I too have a good amount of 7.62x39 and some AK 30 round mags laying around and the only thing I own anymore is one SKS. I had one AK and a guy called me and asked me if I would sell it. No. Come on how much?? I quoted a price I thought was high but he said, meet me, I have cash. I am AK'less.

I don't have an AK but I do like the little SKS carbine.

They are going high, but then again they will increase in value if there is an "assault" weapons ban. They are fun to shoot and are really nothing but meat chopper, inaccurate pig farmer guns but I want one. I have buckets of ammo for one. I got a bunch when it was cheaper than dirt and I didn't even have a gun. I got a SKS a few years ago but shoot it very rarely.

They have this mystique of never jamming and being such great weapons but I cannot tell you how many dead haji's I have seen with a jammed AKM. In Africa I have seen AKM's that were so abused they were almost unusable. The Hajis like to remove the stock and tie a rope to the stock screw. They keep them unloaded and when they want to shoot they rack the action. So many times I have seen ragheads blow off a soldier with a M4 pointed at them because they thing the gun is unloaded. The same in Africa.

I don't know why but I think I will spend the stupid stimulus on one if I can. That would be one in the eye of spleepy joe and commie.

I screw up some years aback I had milled ones a arsinal , a b-west and another I do not know the name now

but sold all but one I thing tops seller was the never fired milled receiver version about 400.00 I sold them and the mini 14's I had to get a AR- 15 now look I could get many ar-a5 ( just generic ) for less than I sold the AK"S for not counting the ruger mini 14's

I still get ticked off I did that . but back then who would have guessed a sks , ak or mini 14 would bring more than AR15 I sure did not

I did keep a run of the mill basic AK a ruger mini 14 and a Russian SKS that looks new from the 1950's

the AK's always seemed to be a rough and ready take on what ever came it way th eAR-15 seemed refined and close tolerance's that did not like dirt .. and a lot more small parts to loose or break

I also have been wanting an AK, but for no other reason than I don't have one yet... I do have a SKS china police carbine with the bayonet and a scope i picked up here about 5 or so years ago, it's kinda fun to shoot, never shot an AK yet, hope to some day.

I had an under folder AK, and a RPK, with a few thousand rounds for them..

Few years ago I was downsizing, and they made the trip from southwest Iowa, in my trunk, along with a bunch of other guns, to Locust Fork.

Recently, noticed I had thousands of 7.62x39 laying around. So I bought another RPK off of the other side.

Was thinking another underfolder AK, but then prices went stupid.

Had way too many of them fired at me. Ditto the SKS. No, thanks.

    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

    I have a couple.

Not a fan, but they were cheap and the ammo was cheap. Not a bad combination if you have to hose down your front lawn.

I have a couple. Still have my Sar-1 from 2001. Recently put Magpul folding stocks on it.

Looks good shoots while folded just fine.

Back in my Alaska days I bought a 1954 TULA Arsenal SKS with its bayonet intact. I like shooting it but have no desire to get a AK platform rifle. The AR platform has served me well so I will stick with it.

Nothing wrong with them. I am currently down to one but it looks like I will be up to two. Have had many variants and there is nothing like the Polytech Legend, awesome firearms. IMO ,haters.
