Any reason you cant use JB Weld to glass bed a stock?

None.
Perfect medium...........lol
Works great. just use good release agent.
What would be a good release agent?
Bite the bullet and purchase some Acraglas gel from Brownell's...Not sure what the metal composition of JB is...but you should check first...joining two dissimilar metals promotes corrosion...JMHO...

Release agent for JB, grinder or blue wrench🤔
I'm going to assume that you are referring to doing a bubba, redneck job with little concern about the end results?? 🤣
If I am incorrect I can highly recommend Acraglas. I have used it multiple times over the years with outstanding results. If I can use it with outstanding results, anyone who is even remotely careful can use it very successfully!!
How much does glass bedding improve accuracy?
"How much does glass bedding improve accuracy?"................it all depends on the individual rifle (if it ain't broke, don't fix it). if it is broke (inaccurate) it may help a lot. a good bolt action rifle maybe a lot, a crapped out win. 94......not so much
I'm gonna' third Acraglass. AG Gel has less than 1/10th of 1% shrinkage. Who knows how much JB is going to shrink.
While you're at Brownells site, order Acra Release. Nothing holds a candle to it.
This is not my first bedding job and I prefer AG gel. I cant remember a bolt gun that I did that didnt help. Its in the shop curing now.I used my old stand by for release,Johnsons paste wax.If I have glued the action and stock together I will let you know.If not we know JB will work and I will post the group it holds.
There are a lot of better options. Look at accruglass.
I once had a stock\barrel unwilling to come apart after using AG gell and release agent. I fortunately live in a place that has very cold winters and was able to get them apart by leaving the gun out in the unheated shop over night. I now only use paste wax and never another problem.
Cured, came apart with a little effort.Action is good and snug, looks good and solid. In a few days I will see how it groups.
