I thought the US was part of the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty. I looked around and I see that DJT rescinded the treaty.

I do know that in 2005 we were going to use Claymore mines and had to get written permission from a 3 star General to do so.
I always thought they would work well at our southern border along with the wall. Warning signs written in Spanish using very big letters.
The warning signs should be in Mandarin.
