Are monopods a unicorn? (looking for alternate to bipod)

The only monopods I can find are out of France I believe, so maybe I'm heading down the wrong road. ha
Almost ordered a bipod for my rifle, mlok side-mount ... but realized that's going to add way too much width to the setup (for casing, etc).
Are monopods not a thing? Am I searching for the incorrect term?
Would just like a low-profile monopod to take the weight of the front of the gun is all, something that is mlok.
Any input appreciated, thanks.

I'm not a fan of things attached to the forearm. I do like the "crossed sticks" devices that aren't affixed to the rifle. No problem with casing, no extra weight on front of rifle, instant choice of deployment.
But, then you know when you need it, you'll have left it in the vehicle, or dropped it along the way. shrug
With the lack of answers, I'm thinking ................ forearm. haa
EDIT: I know this from experience too, I've had those that snap on or fasten with a spring, something else to forget.
Uhh, OK?
It's not like I developed these preferences overnight.
I have a Stoney point pole cat mono stick that I have used. Like it very well. Sling the rifle over your shoulder and you can then use the monopod as walking stick if you want. Adjusts quickly and easy to use. Great quality.
