RIP...
He was a cute kid. RIP Rusty
Sad story. He was homeless when he died.
You see that with a lot of child stars, they are superstars at age 12, but in adult life things don't go so well.
RIP Rusty
thank you for the enjoyment you brought to us
I agree seems like a lot of the old 'kid" actors there parents or managers took advantage of them and blew thru the money and the actor was left with almost nothing but then again they were not paid no where near what the actors are today no excuse but a part of a sad history
that show left a big impact on me as a very young fellow . as did a lot of the old shows but the ones with dogs really got me from lassie to old yeller to where the red fern grows to name a few
after I was married 42 years ago the first dog we bought was a German Shepard we named Ginger after a old land lord's dog , a German Shepard also, from when I was just a young kid .
we lost out last German Shepard ( Buddy a 130 pound baby ) he was just over ten years old that was two years ago up to then we also had one ,
I always admired Lt. Rip Masters.
Sadly true! I recently read that Johnny Crawford (Mark from The Rifleman) was suffering from Alzheimer's, with a Go Fund Me set up to help with expenses.
Gosh, I remember watching that show - Rusty, Lt. Masters, Sergeant Biff O'Hara, and of course, Rinty.
RIP Rusty.
Set up by Paul Peterson apparently. Surprising, he was an orchestra leader for years, but Alzheimer's care is expensive.
