how do you determine the model of this rifle. i see a vz 24. if that is the model i can't find it in any of my gun books. also an estimated value. the riflings are great, outside i would list as good

It's a VZ-24, the pic that Ricci posted is what it used to look like, before someone cut the stock down, to use it for a hunting rifle.
It is a 1931 dated BRNO. It would be worth a lot more in un-altered military configuration. Right now, it is worth the value of a barreled action, and those seem to sell in the 100-200 dollar range.
