I don't know how this mower even worked! PIC

LOL, I was getting frustrated because the bagger kept clogging up, its a miracle the mower cut any grass or bagged anything with the blade like this!
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

looks like you got about all the goody out of that blade.

That's about what mine look like after only one year of mowing... Lot's of branches always falling off the oak trees around my place and I don't always see them to pick up first...
I'll say! There ain't hardly even anything left for the scrap man
Good ol' SC sand eats them up.
I am a bit frugal, (Judy says super cheap), but even I would have changed blades before then. Well maybe not.😉 Bob
mogley98, that mower wasn't cutting grass, it was beating it to death.
most well used blade I have ever seen
Momma told me there'd be blades like this.😊 Just like the old song says with just one word changed, you really did get your moneys worth on that one!
But wait! I bet you could just do some sharpening and get another season out of that ole blade! 😁

New one have a different star pattern? Doesn't look like it will fit.
looks like a good shiv . maybe a market for it at the prison
as for a mower blade I think its too far gone for even Carl to save it
Lucky the operator didn't get a chunk of that blade in their foot or ankle!!! WOW!!! (Been mowing allot of rocks)???

may be enough left for a knife or two..........
yeah old one 5 pt star, new one 6 pt star????
New one is better. Don
What did you do to it to make it look like that?
I take mine off every spring and replace with a second set that are sharpened. Going on 22 years now with these blades!
Good eye, I had to take that one back and swap it, turned out the correct one was cheaper :)
can you say "MAINTENANCE"
I can only imagine what your vehicles are like.
And by the way, what the hell do you mow with that, your rock garden?
mogley98 here is what one of my previous sets look like, these weren't the worst I've had, but I saw they laying in the garage after reading your initial post.
Most people mow grass, not gravel.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
My wife likes to mow rocks!!!

I'm in Coastal SC we don't got no stinking rocks if not imported.
It's my theory that a dull blade that tears vs cleanly cuts grass slows re-growth. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I feel your pain. I live in the sandhills of NC. Your blades have been sandblasted which is a common problem in our sandy soil. I have to put on new blades at least twice in a cutting season. There is no sharpening, the sand literally blast our blades away to what you're pictures show. There are sand blades made for sandy conditions, I just can't find any in the blade length I need. I try to find low "lift blades" which will extend the blades life. Its the curse of living on sand! Good luck!
I have to mow twice to cut once with my old machine! 🙄
It is the "Carpenters" model
Newer blades are just 1 step above flimsy sheet metal 😁.....they're quality is nothing like the older blades.

You got your money's worth out of them. I hit all sorts of stuff with my Country Clipper Joy Stick controlled mower.
It happens, if ya know what I mean.
