All of a sudden part of my yard is over run with moles. Anyone have a deadly solution for getting rid of these things?

I have heard dumping lye in there tunnels it burns there feet they lick it off and die
I tried that, didn't work
A good mole dog works great but they dig up a hell of a lot of yard.😉 I have put the beans in the holes, traps, ect. but I guess the grub spray works ok if you keep their food supply down.
Triazicide kills the grubs.
Might as well have some fun while your doing it!

7mm mag should be sufficient.
My beagle Daisy is an expert mole killer. The moles are all gone from my yard.
So, does Daisy do side work? 😉
Got a video?
Depending upon the species (there are about 30 in North America), they are all but blind and have compesating senses well beyond ours or what we can imagine. They detect changes in their tunnels, so that traps that disturb the tunnels are nearly useless. They can also detect you creeping around the yard while you are many feet away and they freeze. Not much help, but it will tell you what not to waste time on.
NeoBlackdog, Bill Murray would be proud. 😂
My dermatologist has been working on getting rid of mine. Oh, sorry! 😲 You meant the dirt rodent.
Yep, you gotta get rid of their food source.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Spade. Wait till you see the ground movement Flip the spade over and smack the ground and dig them out.
Correct me if I'm wrong Sandy, but if I kill all the golfers they'll lock me up and throw away the key.
We can do that. We don't even need a reason.
Ya didn't get that they can sense the vibrations of you coming many feet away? Works when they are crossing a dirt road in the SE, but in your lawn, you are doing more damage to lawn than moles.
I HAVE THEM BAD!!! They love the area under the old apple trees that are on the bank. The erosion they are causing is the worst part. They tend to stay under the shaded part of the trees. My dogs don't even sniff or acknowledge them. In the last two years I never was that serious about it. I would get a garbage bag of hair from the barber and lay the hair on the mounds and pee in a coffee can and pour on the mounds (I was told both would run them off) hasn't worked!!
I'm making up a concoction that I'm gonna try when spring is over (less rain).I bought 2 gallons of pure castor oil (that's what most lawn sprays contain @ 0.01%, they don't like it on their skin and make the grubs taste bad). Got two 32 ounce liquid triazicide ( which kills grubs). 6 ounce bottle of fox urine ( predators scare them off). I'm gonna mix all these up in a 40 gallon sprayer and spray problem areas.
I also bought the triazicide pellets and have some garlic and clove oils ordered. I'm gonna mix the oils into the pellets and use a fertilizer spreader to treat the area. The clove and garlic oils SUPPOSEDLY burns their nasal passages. Thought I'd use the pellets when it was raining (in the spring) and use the liquid later in summer when there's not as much rain.
I've not seen the critters but their mounds are pretty large, for Tennessee anyway, and it's a pain to mow the yard! I've wondered about the solar panel spikes that "vibrate" to run them off and any traps or poisons that invade their mound. Also thought of buying an aerator that has the spikes and pull behind mower to maybe spike and kill them.
Haven't heard of the lye treatment but wouldn't that burn up you grass?
just find a nice looking "friendly" lady mole, and throw her into your neighbors yard...............
Control the food supply (grubs) you will control the moles. But I do have a little tomcat that is hell on moles.
I've tried poison worms, and smoke bombs, and traps, but the only thing that work 100% of the time was to watch for the dirt to move and stomp the * out of the ground and dig up the body, I killed 5 one year that way
shotgun and a case of beer after mowing...... Ive sit for half a day and never see the ground move... Think mine are nocturnal! lol
You're wasting your time.
I saw a video awhile back where some guy poured gasoline down a hole in his backyard and lit it off. It basically lifted his whole backyard up.
If it were me.............I would get a Cairn Terrier..........name him/her something cool like Webley or Ithica.......and let the dog loose on them.
Hey there Darryl, are you trying to tell us Mole Lives Matter? 😂
My brother was doing some carpentry work for a gal. He noticed these solar powered stakes in her yard. He asked her what the deal was and she said she had big problems with moles. These stakes emit sounds that moles don't like. She said these had run off her moles.
These are the first I ran across on Amazon I don't know if these are the type she used or not. However, I have had a lengthy battle with rats and I now have a dozen electronic rat repellers in the basement, in the carport and wood shed, and inside the cars and they work very well to run off the rats.
Pitch fork wait till the ground moves and spike em
This is the type of trap that I use. I have caught dozens of moles over the last 3 years with these. I also built one of these:
I have about $110.00 invested in mine with a Harbor Freight 6.5hp engine.
The trick to gassing or trapping moles is find the tunnels they use to travel from 1 area to another. These are the tunnels that are deeper. You will see a narrow trail of dead grass over them. The trails that are easy to spot are the "feeder " tunnels. You will rarely catch a mole setting a trap over those because the moles only use them 1 time to find the grubs. If you have a mound of dirt show up, carefully dig it out the find the tunnel. It will run in 2 different directions. That is the ideal place to put the gasser over or place a trap.
Yeah, I spend too much time thinking about killing moles.
You're all trying too hard. I know you don't like them, but you just need a good cat. We have a good little "Verminator" & haven't seen a mouse or mole etc. in years. Heck, squirrels wont even come near the house. She was a feral and now has a house on our porch. Well worth the kibble we feed her. You probably have ferals in the area. Just leave a little kibble in a different spot every other day. As they come around for it, they'll hunt for you.
So the best you can hope for is it chases off the moles......the bad news is your yard will smell for a long time !!!😳
I have mole retaliation day a few time during the mowing season.....400lb roller flattens out the runs....Next I watch for the hills to pop up. I can usually see them pushing up dirt and creep out with my old trust Ithaca 37. Usually within in a few minutes I can see the hill push up and BOOM.....
Many years ago a local radio station had a contest to see who could come up with the best use for a 16 ton block of granite. I'm not sure who won but the idea I liked the most was to bounce it on their lawn to eliminate the moles.
I have 4-8 barn cats... they must be eating good on something else cause they havent touched the moles
