The wife picked her first batch of green beans from the garden this morning. Our tomato plants are over 5 ft tall and loaded with green tomatoes.

Early planting times, Florida living isn't all about the beach.
I have always envied you guys in the south for this very reason! You have time to plant multiple crops. The four seasons I get here in Michigan are IMO a great trade off as long as the local stores keep me supplied with southern/western USA produce. 🙂
OK :
I really like fresh Green Beans !!!!
YUM !
Lucky You !
Thanks !!!
I Grew Old Too Fast (And Smart Too damn Slow !!!) !!! :?
+1 but I woke up to frost this morning and am ready for some warmer weather! Bob
Drool!
...Looks good! I used to have a garden every year. Every couple of years I'd put a LOT of cow & sheep manure down and spray it with a gallon of fish oil...then till it to death...tomatoes, green onions, black eyed peas, turnips etc. Everything grew really well...I'd have okra (fried okra is killer!) plants 8' tall, had to get a step ladder to reach the top...
nice haul
just today wife and i talked about maybe planning a garden this year we have skipped the last several years 😁and its still freezing at night so we have a little more time to go
Our garden is still covered with a foot of snow.
Enjoy those beans, I know you will.
😁
As a kid, I would have to string beans with my mom before I could go play. Fortunately, mrsdeere only grows Tenderette beans and I don’t have to string them.
I have new potatoes to go with your green beens. My purple pod pole beans aren't ready yet.
Those sure do look good.
When I was a kid growing up in Amarillo there were several farms where we could go and pick our own and pay by the bushel. I always thought that was fun.
The fence in our backyard was also covered with red grape vines and I have fond memories of my mother making some delicious grape jelly every year.
We had a pear tree that did fairly well every year too.
Those were the days............
Green beans are one of my favorites,....enjoy!
I had to learn to like green beans growing up! 🙂 They didn't become favored (not too many years ago) when some unknown chef started adding cream of mushroom soup and French fried onions into the mix!! 😋
Hard Frost last night and my Crab Apple tree was in full bloom so there goes any chance of jelly this fall
The wife makes some awesome "Refrigerator" pickled spicy, garlic green beans...😋
