'Criss Cross' or Square waves. Never heard of such a thing before now. How strange and scary. Any you past sailors experience them?

I ain’t a sailor but I do have a “square wave” tig welder. Does that count?

They are caused by waves reflecting off of two angled shorelines. Then, when they cross paths, they form squares or a diamond grid pattern. They're uncommon simply because it takes just the right angle of shoreline combined with just the right wave height.

    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.
