Newest member of the Family. Came to us on Wednesday. Interesting long story how she came to be with us.

Just a Sweet little girl, look at those Eyes.. Haven't had a puppy for a long time, so it will be interesting .

Just 8 weeks old and already letting me know when she needs to go.

Seems the family we got her from likes Firearms names for their Dogs, so Winchester aka Wini. Thanks Shepard Valley https://www.facebook.com/ShepherdValleyDogs

She is definitely cuter than a bugs ear!! Congrats to you and her!

Our last puppy is now going on 3 years old has finally settled in. I just took the child gate down off the stairway to the basement yesterday. Trusted to not sneak off for fast potty breaks. 😁

I also replaced the sofa and side chairs a few months ago. I swear my pup was part beaver!

Now if I can just get the cat to quit sharpening his claws on the new leather recliner! 😫

Have her in a Large pen at night, for now, with no messes. Let Wini out and she does her business. I'm taking her around the property and see I have to patch a few places in the 5" high fence.

She will spend time with me in the Office, at the Shop/ Warehouse . No too sure letting her roam around indoors too many "fun" things to play with. She likes laying under my office chair, always under foot, I'm afraid I'll take a tumble or two.

Going to be lots of Chew toys.

Precious ! ... Take good care of her and she will respond ten fold.

    I'm so jealous !

It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books

One Month later, and 10 + lbs. Look at those ears! She has learned to use the doggy doors, and loves to play in the rain (that can get messy). She goes out to do her business when needed.

When the phone rings she wants to talk too, and tough to work on the computer. But... Finally getting some commands thru to her.

Pen training at night is the way to go. Pretty soon that pen will be her refuge. Im a promoter of crate training for all dogs. Give her plenty of exposure to kid so she socializes with them. No one needs a biter.

If you haven't seen the movie Marley & Me, it is kind of a tear jerker with many happy moments about a dogs life with family. Marley dies from a twisted stomach.

Bloated and Causes stomach to Twist.. Gastric Volvulus. Twisted stomach in dogs is a serious health condition that can threaten the life of your pet. Though the level of risk is incredibly high there are only few dog owners who are aware of the symptoms and know how to act when they spot them. Studies show that big breeds are more prone to suffer from bloat because they are deep-chested dogs.As this health issue can lead to death,

She as fine the night be fore barking and running around. In the Morning my wife said Wini was a bit off and did not come to great here as he left for work. I went down and opened the gates for work and she followed me around, but not enthusiastically. I looked her over and she seemed tired. I called the Vet ( II was to go in the next day for shots) and was told to bring her in a few hours later. But she started acting strange and her belly was distended, I loaded her in car right then. She could Hardly Walk. Vet Saw me in the parking lot and got her in a room right a way and did x-rays. Said 50-50 chance with this type of condition. I said go ahead.

He called me as I was getting Gas 15 mins later. She had passed as he was releasing some gas and giving her fluids.

I went back and saw her and had a few words to say to her. How she could run, bark and have all fun she wanted, while she waited for me, and my Setter
