Headline and subhead on a Twin Cities news site:
At least 173 shots fired in 3-hour span in St. Paul, injuring 7
Seven people were injured in St. Paul from three separate shootings Saturday night and early Sunday morning...

I've often dreamed about what life was like in the Old West. Now I'd only have to drive an hour north to find out.😉

That is a lot of shooting without much effect. I would think in the wild west they were better shots.
Obviously, those folks need a lot more range time.
Aaaand they are voting to defund the police

The portrayed "Wild West" and the actual wild west do not coincide.
My Sig SSG 3000 is up there
Absolutely correct. The movies and TV have made the Old West seem much more like modern-day St. Paul than it actually was😄. Actual movie-style shootouts were much scarcer back then than they are in some bigger cities today.
Tourists will be flocking there to spend money, ohh wait, maybe, call it another Seattle love fest and it will be good.
Part of the prelude in the opening dialogue to the movie Tombstone discusses how the murder rates in the western cow towns eclipsed modern day New York or Los Angeles.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Chicago with it's very strict gun control had 6- 8 killed and 30 shot over the weekend guess summer is early there.
The main difference between todays city shoot outs and our movie/TV western perspectives is that they are using real bullets now days!!
The word "blanks" is probably not even known to people born after 1980 or so.
