Well, what we need are more firearm laws. It should be illegal to have a firearm within school grounds. It should be illegal to shoot a classmate. It should be illegal to shoot a school employee.
Seems someone's kid never learned that such actions are UNACCEPTABLE. The parental units failed in their primary task of child rearing and should be horse whipped until they bleed and THEN THE PUNISHMENT GETS MORE SERIOUS.
As always in a situation in a small town, rumors abound already.
Disgruntled kid that actually lives in a neighboring county, don't understand why she it was necessary for her to attend school in a alternate county unless problems were evident before.
supposedly it has to do with bullying and this 6th grader sexual orientation and possible transgender issues, who knows.
The Bonneville bomb squad and FBI visited her parents home yesterday and local news had video of them carting stuff out of the house, could not tell from video if it was just computer equipment or what.
But bottom line the real heros in this were the janitor who stepped in the line of fire to protect other kids and the female teacher who tackled the shooter and disarmed and subdued her until authorities arrived.
This brings back hard memories of the Cokeville bombing on 16-May-1986 of which I was very near the school grounds along with several others when the bomb was accidentally set off, praise God there were no fatalities there except for the bomber and his woman.
Hug'em tight before they walk out the door as in this day and age one never knows.
