Garcia Sporting Arms, Washington D.C.

I have a Rossi .38 Spec. five shot nickel plated revolver with 3 inch barrel. The gun is stamped with made in brazil Garcia Sporting Arms, Washington D.C. I cannot find any reference to Garcia in any History of Rossi. I know that Rossi guns were imported by Interarms, Alexandria VA Does anyone know anything about Garcia/Rossi and what it might mean about the date of manufacture/Importation of this gun?

The only info I have said Interarms took over importing Rossi in 1975.so it must pre-date that. Bob

Garcia was a large importer in the 60's for sure as I have had Rossi marked the same way. Also several Stars the same way. I believe early 70's and they were bought. So guessing with some knowledge it would date in the 60's.
