better late I than never. our first grand kid arrived
Thursday Moring about 8:00 am my youngest son and his wife . had our 1st grand kid
he was 3 weeks early but the doctors decided it best and induced labor . he weighed in about 6 pounds and ? oz
our new family member is " Gunner , Allen, Jobe Marlow "a combination of names picked by my son and his wife using my sons name her dads middle name and his first name no ties to any one else . but a bit obvious . yes they have a thing for firearms
she had a bit of trouble so staying a couple days in the hospital but all is fine for mom and son
my wife and I are in our 60's but we had just about given up on seeing any grand kids . my oldest son and his Gf do not seem to be leaning toward any .
to say my wife is beside her self well you can imagine I yes am happy for all of them , my wife did say nothing like when we ( well her she did all the work and pain ) had our sons the whole ordeal was way more pain free for the mom

congrats, now let the spoiling begin...... I still hear it from both kids if I let the grandkids do something they will look at me and say, " dad you wouldn't let us do that..."
congrats and enjoy , our 1st grand was born 10 weeks early , came into this world at 2lb 9oz ,spent the next 3+ months in the hospital, that was all most 9 years ago , he's big now or normal size LOL and smart as a whip and theres 3 more thats joined him so we have a total of 4, 2 boys 2 girls and they're all full of P&V , karma giving payback to my son LOL
Congratulations!
Congrats!
Congrats. Grandkids are the best.
" dad you wouldn't let us do that..." your reply should be "no but your grandparents did" ;-)
I was just shy of age 60 when our first grandkid was born. She graduated eighth grade this past week. She's still the joy of her Grampa's heart.
Congrats on your new family member. I hope that little fella brings many joyous moments into the family.
Congratulations DR!
Congrats
Awesome news D\R! Those little ones will keep you and your Mrs. young!
Sweet! I hear those things are good to have!
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Thanks all
I agree my parents and in-laws allowed our kids to just go wild nothing like what we ( wife and I ) were treated growing up
but then again as parents they (we ) have 24/7 to worry about the kids to follow rules and grandparents can spoil and get the kids wound up and send them back home LOL .. maybe as pay back I will guess for when we were young
Congrats to all.
one more thanks my son has the silver dollar for Gunner in his safe with the copy of why he has it thanks to you and William
Congrats to all concerned!!
I spose you've already got his first gun set aside for him?
lol
Of course I will , being he is the first grand kid I will give him one my dads guns as a start ( most likely it will be with my youngest son locked in his safe for him ) .
honest I just hope I am around long enough and capable when he is old enough for us to shoot together , and can choose which one(s) he wants .
as a side note I truly hope the best for him, well actually all the kids born lately , the future is currently not looking so much like the country we grew up in .
If we had known how much fun the grandkids are, we woulda had them instead. Our baby granddaughter is stationed at San Diego, and just made Petty Officer 2nd class. Am now working on spoiling great grandkids.
Congratulations grandkids are the best thing to happen to grandparents LOL.My oldest granddaughter turns 17 soon and has decided she needs her drivers license, has been saving up for a car when she comes to stay with us this summer we be going shopping.
That's the best thing about having kids-GRANDKIDS😋
