Licensing of lumber on the way?

From a Minnesota news website:

"A northern Minnesota man is facing a second-degree murder charge after he admitted to killing another man with a piece of lumber. According to charging documents filed in Beltrami County District Court, 21-year-old Scott A. Schulman, of Cass Lake, struck a man with a 2x4 multiple times in the head,...."

God only knows how high the price of a 2x4, already $11.99 "every-day price" at some MN big-box stores, will soar when the lumber-control groups go into action. I predict a surge in lumber licensing and red-flag laws determining who can and can't own boards. Possession of an unregistered 2x4 will mean serious prison time. Soon only the bad guys will own framing lumber.
