It was a great memorial day, and yes they outshot grandpa, which with my eyes isn't hard. granddaughter has a pink cricket with reddot on it, she was deadly at about 40yds on pop cans. grandson was shooting my grandpas model 74 winchester 22lr I have a little six power scope on it, he was killing golf balls at same distance 3,4 out of 5. Got out the 357 lever action and loaded up some 38's, I have a cheap reflex sight on it and was using the red cross, as the reddot was harder for them to see. at least one if not two out of 5 he hit the golf ball, the cans didn't stand a chance. Granddaughter was kicking the golf ball around also with the lever action, but maybe only one out of 5, but she could hit can 4 out of 5. couldn't even get grandma to try, though I did do pretty well with grampa's old winchester, if I didn't hit the golf ball I was close enough to get it to roll one way or other few inches.

they took turns driving me and the wife out some back roads in the side by side, by which time the fire was hot enough to roast few hot dogs, then marshmallows for desert, don't know about them but I do know they wore grampa out, I think I was asleep before my head hit the pillow, they really are great kids and don't deserve what they have been through last year or two, and for update to those interested the court granted us permanent custody last week. grandson is 14, granddaughter is 11 so looks like I'll be raising kids again for at least 7,8 years till get them into/out of colledge.
