I sold a Marlin XXX 1872 revolver to a man who wants to shoot it. It fires .30 caliber rimfire short ammo and there aren't any listed on the auction side.
If you have any, please contact me and I'll hook you up with him. Thanks!

Might check with them to see if they have the dies - brass - and other necessities to 'roll you own'.

He's a new collector and I don't think he's into reloading yet. He only wants a couple of rounds to try it out. Thanks, anyway.

check with this place he might have some
If the above doesn't yield any cartridges - there was a cartridge collector on here at one time - Tailgunner1954. I haven't seen him here a quite some time. Someone may know how to contact him and he might be able to lead you to a source.
One last possibility I recalled and looked up. Dave Call at 'Ammo One' - phone # (was - didn't call to see if correct)

Unfortunately it is not 30 short rimfire. You might email the seller and ask them to keep a lookout for what you need if you have not already found a source.
