Full automatics...what would be the favorite?
Comments
Ma duece
Of the CAR-15, M3 "grease gun", M60, GE mini-gun, the Ma Deuce, and the AK-47: The mini-gun. Nothing compares to 2,000 rds/min on LOW speed. For sheer smack, though, it's Ma Deuce.
Oops. I full-auto'ed the Post button, LOL!
only experience so far was M16A1 and M60 in Army.
Limited experience but had a chance to put some rounds through a genuine Thompson M1928A1 once. That was fun with a capital "F" The Thompson was more fun than M3 "Grease Gun" I also got to play with that day.
Beretta M12S 9mm
My only experience in three rounds through a Sten.
Can't say that I've ever met a select-fire firearm I didn't like. Each and every one was a 'favorite' at the time. And each and every one had an intended purpose (some had the same purpose though).
So, my favorite would be the one (or several) suited for whatever chore I had in mind.
I'd like to own an M3 'Grease gun' (while a 'Thompson' is on the top of the 45 acp list, I doubt I can afford one).
The H&K MP5 was 'fun' to shoot and burning up tax payer $$$$s was idea.
The M2 was expensive (my $$$$). Imagine what my dream Quad 50 would cost to operate?
German MG42.
Over the last few years I've picked up a few machine guns ... M16 slightly modified with an Ares Defense Belt-Fed upper. I don't have 2000 RPM but a 100 round nutsack will make my suppressor glow ... in the daylight; also HK registered sear and M-11nine
? otherwise, you'll find an excuse.
They are all fun to shoot especially when your getting paid to do it.
I would have to say a KPV is a fun gun but a MK 19 is a literal blast to shoot.
For hand held belt fed stuff I really like an M-60. I have shot a minigun a few times and they are fun, especially at night.
For light stuff a full auto FN FAL is fun but I think a Galil is one of the best shooting full auto rifles out there next to a M-4 with a full auto switch.
For Sub guns a Swedish K and a M3 are a blast but a Soviet PPSh-41 with a good drum is really one of the best Sub Guns I have ever fired.
The Stechkin APS is a hoot too especially 2 of them.
I always wanted to shoot a Maxium gun or some other type of water cooled gun, I always thought it would be fun to hold the trigger down.
M14
+1... 😁
And an American 180 was a hoot!!!

For those near San Antonio TX there is a range where one can rent a variety of fully automatic weapons. As an Infantry Officer we got to fam fire all the weapons we might encounter. M-249, M-16 A2, A3, M-60, M-2 and the MK19. I enjoyed firing them all. As a favorite I'd have to pick the M-249 because it was easy to control with just the bipod. The MK-19 was nice because one got to shoot and blow things up at the same time.
I have liked them all equally, but ma deuce was a fav for sure.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
M60
I've only shot 2 a Thompson and M2 carbine between then I like the M2 the best
I also loved the mk 19. It will rock a 5 ton, in a ring mount on top.
It's a toss up, but, thump thump thump ma duece...
Ma Duce was a hoot, but it would be a toss-up between the M242 Bushmaster and twin mount 20mm Oerlikon as to a favorite.
MG42 converted to 308. Got to fire 200 rds. A short burst sent about 16 rds downrange. After shooting it I wondered how anyone survived on Omaha beach
We put a building up for the Justice Dept. (FBI) and they had a contractors appreciation day where they had a variety of firearms to try. The old Thompson .45 seemed very slow & mechanical in operation after I shot an MP 5. Fun stuff.
I've only shot one fully auto firearm, so I guess it, by default, would be my favorite. A German MP-40.
If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
M-60
M-16
only a single shot, but, LAWs were fun too,,,,
I reckon the subgun would be an UZI... Rifle the AK47 and the top dog.. a Water Cooled Browning.
Even in the military the options for full auto are limited to what you're issued- except of course for someone like Sam whose billet would give him near limitless access to every type of military firearms on the planet.
As a Class 3 dealer I've been able to own or fire a wide variety of MGs, but as far as easy access, dealers (without police letters) are limited to the most common pre May imports- Uzis, Hk-53s, Madsen M50s (there are a lot of them floating around) Walther MPL/Ks, and a goodly number of G3s and FALs.
My favorite is the M12S, and there is a Beretta M12S pre May sample listed on GB:

Frankly, I just can't see the $18.5K. On the other hand, there are essentially no such things as transferable M12S, and if their were they'd be $40K+
M-60 Loved shooting it-Hated cleaning it.
A forgotten little gem and fun to shoot M2. Really light, very little recoil ......... fun gun.
I liked shooting the Mac 10. I’m not sure if you classify it as a machine gun but it’s fun to shoot.
Mg 42 was a blast stine was fun m16 1918 30 cal wa also fun
There was a coupe more but shoot in vs feeding one is big difference
It's sad the sorry politicians will not void the old full auto laws and make them aforadabe for us common folks again
Toys for the rich is all they made with the laws
Favorite.....MP-5, they are just plain fun.
UZi's are OK, AK's are fun too, have not shot any MGs I didn't like.
Would like to shoot a LOT more.
Boss man who owned the company had an American 180 ..it was also fun and ran extremely fast
I like it when my old SKS decides to go full auto from time to time. It is a blast when I have my duckbill loaded up.
