The wife just got a new Buick Encore. In looking at the window sticker, I noted that the parts are 26% Mexico (including the engine and transmission), 45% Korea, and 3% U.S. & Canada. Doesn't say where the other 26% comes from! And it was assembled in Korea.

Thats a good sign. At least you dont have to worry about a UAW product that was made on a Monday when people showed up to work Monday with a hangover that could last thru Tuesday or made on a Friday when their mind was on the weekend rather than the attention to detail needed to assembling the vehicle.
Yeah, you can sweat parts made in Mexico by people making $0.50-$1.00/hour, and parts made in China by people making 10% of what the Mexicans make.
Come on, HPD. I have it on good authority that the Mexicans are now up to a buck and a half an hour. As for the Chinese...well, they still have a ways to go to catch up with the Mexicans.
The slightly larger Buick (Envision?) is made in China.
I've noticed since the virus escaped most things aren't labeled "Made in China" anymore, now it's "Made in the PRK".........😡

We have a 2018 Encore. So far, no problems, and it gets 34+ MPG on interstate highways running 75-85 MPH.
I once got a kick out of Route 66. Now I find just about everything I need and buy has traveled more of the world than I have! 😐️
last I heard Honda and Toyota were more American as far as parts and built then "American cars of the use to be big three "
WOW, didn't know that. Don't like it much. The USA is well, going to wrong direction.
lBought a new envision, love it.
