AN UNUSABLE REVOLVER

Seen alot of firearms over the years but not like this revolver. Was watching Gunsmoke movie RETURN TO DODGE and there was this bad guy{real early in movie} who had a revolver that he pulled the barrel forward, rotated the cylinder then realigned it with frame then shoved it back together. Any idems guys? Thx

Did not see the show. There have been several revolvers with .... different loading systems. This was a Galland.
Yup, Merwin and Hulbert. The amusing part is that when he got it open and in view of the camera, it wasn't loaded.
Merwin & Hulbert VERY popular gun maker. Twist, pull forward, empties drop out, live rounds stay in cylinder.
M & H were in business from 1870s through the '90s, about 20 years. They did not manufacture any guns; they were made in the Hopkins and Allen factory.
