We better or it will be the sum total of 10 people total in 10 years talking about the good old days when there was 20 people on this forum. Wait, that’s about what it is now.

I use to but retiredd7 + years ago so I do not not come in contact with really any one one to pass it on . both my sons know about it but one has no real interest in firearms the other says he has no interest in a form with a bunch of old men as he and my wife call it .

I also see it just fading away so many members have already left some passed on some got booted off some mad over being 'picked on " and a lot when it kept up grading and having to figure out how to get back on .

I tend to agree with my wife seems like a lot of older members ( sorry for lumping you younger folks in ) like me I joined in the year 2000 and 64 years old and that 21 years has flown by

When people ask about guns I have no knowledge about I recommend the "ask the experts" forum. When they ask me what guns are worth I recommend the "auction side". I remind them not to price a guns value on what some sellers are asking for them. Price them on what they actually sell for in the finished auctions.

I often mention a thread on Gunbroker to my hunting and gun interested friends but I have given up on trying to "convince" them to look at the site. I have found they will do whatever their interest is.

If you are familiar with GunBrokers set up on the auctions side, you will surely miss that small printed word "Forum" down at the bottom of the front page that is camouflaged by a bunch of other small printed words leading to other places.

I started using the auctions back around 2001 or so and missed this place entirely until one day a light from above shined down upon that little word and here I am! 😁

If the suits up front were to make something of this, we would most likely get flooded with folks from all corners of the globe. Most would likely come with complaints but then there are always a few like minded "wise guys" that would fit in with this motley crew!

Is it still a requirement that everyone needs to be registered on the auction side, before they are allowed to post in the forums?

I've mentioned the forums to some gunnut coworkers, but I spose after hangin out with me all night, they don't really wanna spend time with me online too. A couple have said they visit the auction side, occasionally.

I have always enjoyed the format of forums and much prefer them to those other internet public venues like FB or twitter....... Unfortunately, most of the forums I like to visit have been circling the drain because of those other venues. ☹️

Since we have to remain 6 feet apart, it's hard to teach the secret handshake ! 😆

It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books
