This time of the summer, we usually have 4-5 spiders on the front porch every night spinning their webs and catching their dinner. Very interesting to watch and I enjoy their presence.....

Yep, not my favorite time of year to walk around the property... single strands of web blowing in the breeze hanging from every tree and I always find them with my face.... But cool pics Bill.
Wow William! That second pick has a cross on his back! I'd say he is some kind of special spider. 😯 Best to just enjoy his presence and maybe bow when leaving. 😁
I actually like spiders and my wife calls me weird. The ones found inside the house, I try and catch them unharmed and let them go outside. Not always possible when she is supervising. I may have been smitten back in my early youth while watching that 1931 movie Dracula with Bela Lugosi and his crazy side kick who also had a strange zeal for spiders! 😐️
Great pics! I like spiders. What can I say, I read Charlotte's Web when I was a kid and I have liked spiders ever since.
The girlfriend has given up on trying to get me to kill a spider. I will catch them in a glass and toss them outside.
Cool pics! It is spider season around here in Michigan and they are fun to watch outside. Inside is another matter and they become fair game. Bob
...Great pics William!
...I used to have a lot of Black Widows around here...not near as many now...a good thing...now its Scorpions...not, a good thing.
...One night while camping near a small lake in Davy Crocket National Forest, a whole herd (1,000's!) of Daddy Long Leg spiders came marching thru camp...looked as if the ground was moving (!)...they didn't crawl onto anything, just a steady
march thru camp...a very cool thing!... have no idea "why"...
When my sons were young they watched a spider on the deck that would come out late afternoon and build its web and just after daylight would take the web down and go back to its daytime hiding place.I think they named the spider Danny.
