I wasn't looking in your windows or eating your cat's food........Honest !
Heard a rukus in the yard last night and went out on the porch and there were racoons all over the front and back yard....Mostly Mothers and puffballs...so I went out and hissed at them and they all scattered...except for this little fellow that was in a tree right by the front porch....He posed for a couple pics and I let him be....
If they ever get organized, I am in a heap of trouble....😮

...Those rascals are always up to something! They can be a royal pain in the wazoo. One night accidently left an unopened can of Planters Cashews on the picnic table...next morning the can had hundreds, if not thousands of little holes chewed/poked in it...they never got it ripped open but it was mangled.
...Friend had a couple of pet * in a huge outdoor cage built around a natural spring on the property...for fun he would give them a few sugar cubes...they would walk over to the spring to wash them, of course the cubes dissolved... I guess each thought the other got his cube..and a big fight always followed...😁
...IF a * was to ever jump on you with those claws and mouthful of pointy teeth...oooooh-wee!!!...😯
We went camping on Cumberland Island, off the Georgia coast. The place is overrun with raccoons. We went down to go swimming at 9pm. We had a big Coleman cooler that had a latch that you had to turn 180 degrees to lock the cooler. We figured that was safe.
No. We got back about 10 pm, the bandits had opened the cooler. In there was a 2 pound block of cheddar cheese, and a 4 pound boneless Danish ham. Nothing left but the wrappers.
Also, they got a quart of mayonnaise out of the cooler. I know that smelled good to the beasts, but they couldn't figure how to open it. They rolled that jar around and back for 200 feet but couldn't open it. All that fat in mayonnaise those beasts would have had a ball with that. That would have made a great photo a raccoon covered in Hellman's mayonnaise.
I think looking cute gets them a pass very often we had one as a pet 40 some years ago it would come down out of the trees when i got home from work come climb on me like a cat looking for attention fun to watch he would run thru the house curious as all get out always snooping and nosing around .
fast forward 30 years or so we have some that wonder thru a few that took up home steeling / sharing the cat food eating right along with the cats
I have transported a few live trapped down by a creek surrounded by open fields a few miles away and a few that i caught trying to have or just had a chicken dinner that were DRT
we have skunks that took up living here at least three + years ago ) I think they keep the racoons chased away as i see the skunks every night sharing the cat food with the cats eating beside them . the skunks seem well behaved I guess as well as a skunk can be they maybe steal a egg or two but are timid no aggression what so ever toward us or the cats now the dogs would be a different story I know how that would play out so the dogs we keep away besides if that happens the skunks would have to leave one way or another . in the past I have had a few DRT just walk up beside them in the dark they do not see so well and bang none ever sprayed and I have even lived trapped a few and gave them a ride . but the last group I have just allowed to play out and see where it ends up so far Ok for them
I find it some what funny the cats we have over time I have seen them sharing there food with racoons opossum's and skunks like they were all best pals .
