maybe it knows something your unaware of and it was early 😁

I know they do a great service but there one ugly bird

will toss in a story many years ago working with a farmer he said as a young fellow the vultures would sun them self on the fence post so he got the great idea set leg hold traps on the post .. of course he filled the traps . his dad was not pleased to say the least and made him go release them

he learned real fast ( what his dad knew but did not tell him ) in defense mode they will puke up what ever food they have eaten to fend off attacks and he was covered in the most stinky putrid substance and was sick him self by the time he got them all freed and of course never did that again 😅

Also protected species! 🥺 They are nasty but they also have a nasty job! LOL. They poop some kind of sanitary ooze to keep their feet from getting all kinds of nasty bacteria infections. Nature is cool, even when it's nasty!

I would guess he is waiting for a gut pile or lost foul hooked fish.

Fishing Santee Cooper for bass some time back and an osprey moved along the tree line as we fished., Hooked a fish and it broke the line and commenced flopping around. Big splash and fish was airborne.

I have 2 big redtail hawks that call my place home. You ought to see the show they put on when I am out bush hogging.

They have a feast on mice and snakes. I think they will even kill their catch and lodge it in the trees while they continue to follow me and grab a few more future meals.
