Wisconsin vacation with family
Winding to a close.
Spent Saturday thru Thursday morning in Wisconsin Dells. Oh buoy.
Then, Thursday morning, after thunderstorms and heavy rain, boarded Captain Nolan's charter out of Port Washington, Wisconsin.
Heavy swells, no fish. Had two strikes, both pulled off. Wife unit and 13 yr old daughter both got seasick. Not going on Friday, (today)
Fast forward, swells from the Wednesday storm are gone. Can view the Marina and lake from the awesome B&B wife unit found. I asked my buddies back home if any of them wanted to join me today. All had to work.
Contacted the good Captain. He said only 1 foot chop, no swells, and the morning charter was 7/10 with some big fish on board.
Was gonna ask on here if anyone local would want to join me, but the wife unit and both girls are excited to try it again.
Cast off in a 1/2 hr. 11 am local time.
Wish us luck!

May the winds of the sea be at your back. Some great fishing in Wisconsin, yes sir.
Fish on!
Good luck and have fun!
Good luck.....stay safe out there....I hope you all have a chance to get some good ones..
if you have time shoot right up 43 to Manitowoc and check out the Wisconsin Maritime Museum , it has a WWII sub on display and they do half hour tours of it
Good luck Sir...........
Had a great time today.
We only boated two. Together, maybe 4 or 5 lbs.
Beautiful day on lake Michigan, great time with the family, and no one got sick!
I appear to have had a curse put on me, as today, all the other boats were catching fish.
I knew I should have visited a buddies wife and had her rub some chicken bones on me, or something...
Don't feel too bad diver-rig! The reason we call it fishing and not catching! 😁
On a side note, our gov't spent 500,000 on this study.
😫
The land of milk and honey.
I went to 'the DELLS' on vacation with two small kids and a prego spouse ONCE. Weather was warm and humid and the camper had no AC so it wasn't a fun time for any of us. That was the last time I stopped in Wisconsin any longer than it took to pee and fill the gas tank.
Thats a pretty good hike from the Dells to Lake Michigan for a day of fishin. Over 2 hours if I recall
Yes, like an hour and 45 minutes. We took back roads instead of going through Milwaukee.
This is a view of the harbor at Port Washington, out of the B&B the wife found.
It was Fish day in Port Washington this weekend.
Nice town.
Glad you had a good time sorry I missed you - we are about an hour west of where you stayed in the Driftless Area about 35 miles east of Prairie du Chien
Beautiful area.
Sorry, just went back and looked at "maps"
It was 2 hrs 20 min bypassing Milwaukee.
