I heard on the radio the other day (can't remember the show, Hannity maybe?) that California is now subsidizing their pot dealers because they set the tax rate so high that the black market is a cheaper way to purchase weed.

As most of you know I recently escaped Oregone because of the messed up poop hole it has become. When I think back the decline had been going on for some time but when it took a bad turn for the worse was right after the legalization of medical pot.

July 1st it became legal to grow four plants per household for personal use in Virginia. When I see our Sherriff, I’m going to ask him if they’ve received any calls...”Somebody stole my pot plants!”

all JMHO when they started making it legal and started making it legal and for the most part telling what prices would be and all the tax they are hoping and collecting i knew then , the street drugs / local dealers would still out sell legal stores easy . street dealer no overhead no paper work no taxes no records of customers no crazy prices from the sellers and growers . the states only allowing a hand selected few to have a licenses ( buddy's ) they look it as a cash cow more than just letting people smoke pot the other states see the $$ in taxes rolling in and have to get there share of the pie .

I will bet soon prostitution will be legal why you ask just to get more tax money for them self I think they don't like it now because they don't get there cut of the profit .

same way there doing there best to figure out a way to get more tax on ammo and guns any thing to stuff there coffers is on the table

45 + years ago I had relative's down south who made moon shine they switched to growing pot said it was easier and no still or supply's to draw attention to them . they use to haul it up to Ohio by the car trunk loads ( garbage bags full ) to sell it and I am sure local down south . best I know all of them have passed on many years ago and the business died with them .

I am right next door in North Carolina. I was astonished to hear this last week from the SC candidate, I mean, South Carolina is as Deep South as you can get, that is where the Civil War started.

Now, Virginia legalized it last month but, Virginia has more or less seceded from the Deep South with the immigration of thousands of Yankee/Liberals to the DC suburbs in Virginia, to work for the Federal government.

But if South Carolina goes over then that is it, the stuff will be more or less legal nationwide very soon.

I made a post several weeks ago of a ruling made by Justice Clarence Thomas where he talked about the fact that pot is legal in so many states, and he implied that Federal marijuana laws are out dated. Thomas implied that pot is more or less legal nationwide and the Federal laws are useless. I posted Thomas' remarks on here but nobody said anything about it.

I don't see it getting any traction here in SC.

When Georgia started the lottery back in 94 myself and a few friends got busted for playing poker, the judge that held our court told the local prosecuter that as long as the state of Georgia sold lottery tickets he didn't want another gambling case in his court....Whew !! 😀 .......Some laws work themselves out to be useless.

There you go, junkballer. That is exactly what Justice Thomas was saying. If pot is legal from California, to Colorado, to Virginia, how can it be illegal by Federal law.

Take a look at the predominant population of the southern states and your question is easily answered.

    Just pass the blunt.
