We had to put down Dawnie's big baby last Sunday. Cancer that we didn't know about until it weakened him to where he couldn't walk. He always had trouble walking on account of bad hips, so we really didn't notice his difficulty until it was extreme.

He was just over 10 years old, and Dawnie's companion since he was 3 weeks old. He was so small, compared to his litter mates, and so sickly, I wanted to just smack him in the head with a shovel and bury him, but Dawnie believed he had potential. She was right. He was a good one.
