I just came back in from the front porch...every night I head out about now and feed Morticia. I catch a few small moths or other small bugs and toss them into her web....

Glad I'm not the only one that still does that. I love Orb Spiders.

so you like torturing fly's and moths , is your name Rynfield and have a buddy that only comes out at night dressed in black 😁 just kidding . spiders are truly one of the millions of amazing things we share the planet with . sure makes you stop and think about the grand scale and plan well above our pay scale 😮

I confess I have also been guilty of coxing food into the spiders domain not that they need help

besides I am feeding seven skunks along with our cats each night they almost race each other to get to the cat nuggets ( dry cat food ) so I think getting old has changed my out look on life not long ago the spiders and all the skunks would be DRT

I was using a Canon 18-55mm. I set the camera to Auto/close up as I was trying to hold a flashlight and balance on the edge of the porch. I was holding the camera at arms length approximating the position of the subject. Distance was between 6 and 8”

    Aperture was 5.6

Most of this was hit and miss....No viewfinder, just point shooting and a little too much shake as I was holding the camera one hand and flashlight in the other.....going to try and set a step stoop up the next time I try to photograph my spider friend
