just lost a old pal . co worker and my youngest sons FIL

Ditch-RunnerDitch-Runner Member Posts: 25,387 ✭✭✭✭

we just got word from our youngest son, his FIL just passed . my DIL son and his in laws had went out to dinner had just been home a short time and his wife said he ( Rick ) got a funny look on his face then just went out I guessing his heart just gave up they said ES tried to revive him spent about a 1/2 hour trying but he was gone

Rick and I worked together for over twenty years we even retired with in a month or so of each other but did not know it at the time as we were in different areas of the plant . odd part his youngest daughter and my youngest son got married . they had no idea we knew each other when they were dating .

he had some serious on going health issues but was struggling thru . just guessing but there always seem to be a inner fight to hang on for some reason we think part of his will power was the grand kid his youngest daughter first one ( and out first one )

not much to say he was like the rest of us had his faults and good side as every one he was just another good old boy he worked his whole life . he did get to enjoy a few years of retirement some do not get

goes with out saying its going to be tuff on his daughters and his wife I know they sorta expected it but evn then its a terrible loss .

RIP Rick .

I also just found out yesterday I lost another old co-worker same at least 25 years we worked together and went to gun shows together he would set up and trade sell at the local shows .

RIP Dale

thank you all for the kind words

my wife took a bunch of food into town today for the family and friends to help out a bit . she did find out his wife was not with him when he passed but very close by they did just get home from dinning out with the kids and grand kids . Rick went into his bed room to settle in as he was tired a couple minutes later his wife went in to follow up if he needed any thing and found him dead just minutes of him going to lay down . sad loss but he had so many health issues his family knew it was a matter of time however just not expecting it now and at home . hate to say but at least his pain and suffering are over and the stress on his wife not being mean but we know what its like

as for me sad to loose two old buddy's in a week . sure sets in were mortal and our time could be around the corner just another reminder getting older however we are at least still here to morn there loss .

    Prayers of comfort

Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.
