.284 Winchester

There's an article in the last issue of Shooting Times on the cartridge. It got me thinking I should dig out my A-bolt. My notes indicate it's been seven years since I've shot it, so I guess it's about due. Anybody have any experience with the cartridge?

Great round in my opinion.
I do shoot a 6/284. Deadly accurate out of a custom rifle. A tad off OP though.
I have one in a BLR. Very effective on deer.
I built a custom mauser just to 'round out' my 7mm collection, shot a deer or 2 with it. 7x57mm, 7mm/08, .284 win., 280 rem. 7mm rem mag.
My gosh, Mike, you're missing the 7BR, 7-30, 7x64, 7x61 S&H, 7WSM, 7SAUM; just to name a few. I guess you need to get busy with your rounding out. And didn't SAKO make a little 7 before they started with the L46 action?
