looks like a fair amount of custom work on that gal , heavy bull barrel, nice thick top rib with what looks like target sights , and some kind of screwed on ejector rod shroud
Sure looks a lot different than mine.
It was built for PPC competition.
Nice looking build. In the late 70's I traded a Winchester 1200 shotgun for a Security Six. I always thought the early Ruger double actions were underappreciated. Built like a tank and more accurate than most shooters. Add that heavy barrel, rib and heavy ejector rod housing and that gun will hardly move in your hand from the recoil. I hope a couple of knowledgeable bidders get in a war over it. Bob
Most folks don't know about PPC anymore. Those old school matches put the emphases on accuracy. Todays shooters only know how to shoot fast and hit a large target up close which is fine but most couldn't shoot a decent group at 25 yards much less 50 yards if their life depended on it.

+1 Bobjudy
I think if you put that gun side by side with any S&W or Colt, run em till the others start to rattle apart, that Ruger won't even be breathing hard.
got you started
Isn't that the truth.
Nice gun.
