went out wednsday to see an old buddy I was in marines with, he has stage 4 cancer and wanted to go golfing, as he knew I liked it and he hadn't been in years.Me, my wife and his wife tried to talk him out of it but he said he wanted to play at least 9 holes. we went to local course and talked him into going to range first to get his swing back, it was 103 with the heat index and the kemo has him worn out anyway.
and since we were all worried about him, guess who blacked out, me. woke up in the ER and they kept me till friday was gonna release me after running every test they could think of without any good results, then found out my optic nerves were swollen and decided to keep me one more day for more tests. so wife went on down and got kids by herself, saturday. they still can't figure the nerve problem out, which is no surprise and the VA has been trying for a year. I think it was just the heat, partial dehydration and fact I forgot to take my meds with me when we went visiting. Hope to maybe catch you next trip down your way.
