Has anyone noticed that in some of the photos of the Taliban that they are holding their rifles exactly as If they were trained by our military personnel, with perfect placement of the trigger finger alongside the receiver?
Just sayin'

Yeah, and a lot seem to be carrying M4 and M16s with stuff like reflex sights mounted. I guess we not only trained a bunch of them but made sure they were adequately supplied.😡 Bob
..."safety first"...bet if he got into a firefight he would shoot one of his buddies or himself in the foot...
...We left them 80 BILLION dollars in weapons, which I'm sure a big portion is being sold to every country that hates us...can we say "financing the terrorists"?...
...Every terrorist that wants a weapon, can now have one...
If you're used to toting an AK, that's where you store your trigger finger so it's close to the safety.
I’d like to hear Sam06’s opinion on this.
Russian soldier
Iranian soldier
That's what I'm talkin' about!
I have read people underestimate them they are organized , trained and do have goals
granted they are a long way from what our goals would be but the post I read said do not underestimate them ther not the goat herders portrayed by our government to us
but then again a bunch of so called "farmers " in north Vietnam and north Korea sent us home also licking out wounds . and how close old Adolph and tojo came when people are willing to die for there cause ( there choice or there leaders ) hard to win
" bunch of so called "farmers " in north Vietnam "
Didn't really see any 'North Vietnam farmers' in SVN. They all looked very much like at least partially trained soldiers in uniform. What they were prior to tripping down the Ho Chi Mihn trail is unknown.
" a bunch of so called "farmers " in north Korea"
Those were mostly Chinese conscripts IIRC so they may have been farmers at one time.
I suspect that the nucleus of the current Taliban 'army' was trained by US and knows how the US military fights. They know how to use the equipment that was so conveniently left for their use. They have enough of our technology to at least expect how/where we might retaliate. I seriously doubt they have the where-with-all to defend against a Tomahawk tactical nuke strike so that would be my first response.
Try closer to 8 HUNDRED billion dollars in weapons. $800,000,000,000.00
Plus a state of the art airport we built and turned over to them. An airport sorely needed by the US and others to evacuate people.
We gave them..............well, the AFGHAN ARMY of COWARDS...............gave them a lot of material......................how many are simply "plants"?
Biden is incompetent.
Just where do you think the 300,000 US trained Afghan army went?
They didn't just disappear into the hinterlands.
