I remember hearing about and seeing old photos of the racers with a mechanic riding on the car and doing repairs at least trying to during the race , what a job that was
As a young lad back in the day, I put together several model cars that were examples of many in your photos. Testors airplane glue, 'paint, and a good molded kit from Revell, AMT, Aurora, and a few others made a boys Christmas memories last a lifetime!
