I got out and about today (man it's hot), Ran a few errands. I seen the above on several restaurants. Also seen banners advertising no wait for benefits etc.
Lots of entry level work around.

I once had a seasonal employee that was one of the best workers I ever knew. His problem was, once paid, it took him at least a week to get back to me! 😐️
Checkers a hamburger joint is doing this.
Popeyes is advertising for teenagers.
I worked 3 hrs yesterday and got paid after working an additional 3 hrs today............doing HVAC jobs........made out with $200 for 6 hrs.........😎
Now if the sign read "Get Paid Today, Work Tomorrow", that would generate some response I am betting.
That is a way to get them to show up. What happened to pride in your work?
Most have never been taught how to work so they will never be proud.
Starting pay for unskilled (stocking shelves, etc.) is $13.68 here and there’s plenty of “help wanted” signs. Time for the federal unemployment kicker to end.
My carpenter is like that. Does good work but don't pay him until the job is done. Otherwise it will take months.
