58 Pontiac
Belonged to Herb Parsons my dad took a picture of it when it came thru our little town those shells are speakers where they would go thru a town announcing his shooting show
Herb said "Take your son hunting today and you wont have to hunt for him romorrow! "
My first thought was; I'll wager he never had to scrounge for ammo!
Sign of the times, I spose. Cool picture!
Herb did all the trick shooting in the older version of "Winchester 73".
In what year was it no longer correct to have your finger on the trigger?
'58 for sure. A pal had one with factory tri-power. Wouldn't start in WI winters and the dealer never could get it right??? I had the factory Pontiac Rochester FI and installed it on my '60 Bonneville conv't. Those were the days.
I recall reading about him ( maybe his son wrote it ) loaded up many pounds of ammo , and powder , and of course guns and the family headed off to the shoots . he said something about not likely to happen today at that was years ago I read the article
sure would be a neat old wagon to have now to get attention
