Costco Mountain House Sale (15 pouches - $5 each - free shipping)

drobsdrobs Member Posts: 22,533 ✭✭✭✭

Stolen from Ar15.com

$10 off Mountain House Emergency Meal Kits at Costco ($70 for 15 pouches)

$70 regularly $80. Limit of 10

----My thoughts below----

I'm pretty sure a Costco Membership is not required. I have a membership there though.

It's salty but MH tastes good and is filling.

15 meal pouches per box.

$70/15 = $5 per pouch.

I looked at Amazon and the average price was around $7 and some change per meal pouch.

I grabbed 5 boxes.

I have a variety of long term food storage to include:

Hard Red Winter Wheat in my Mylar with O2 Absorbers in Buckets.

Dry beans in Mylar with O2 Absorbers in Buckets.

MREs

Mountain House Pouches.

Ready Wise pouches. (Yeah yeah, I know)

Food for Patriots Pouches.

Bulk Rice that we keep in rotation.

Bulk canned goods that we keep in rotation.

A well for water.

Freeze dried food is long-term "Food Insurance."

If you never need to use it, great. If you need it, it's there.

Makes a good meal - the 1st night of camping after a long drive to your campsite.

Note I have no ties to Mountain House or Costco.

I eat Mountain House and find it tastes good.

It's salty.
