Hi-Point Customer Service - a Great Example I wish all Companies would Follow!
My Dad just bought a little Hi-Point carbine, and it arrived today. However, the magazine was missing. I called the seller (a major retailer), and they literally said, "Not our problem. Work it out with the manufacturer." That, of course, sealed their position on my "black list." However, I then called Hi-Point. They answered without putting me on hold, were extremely friendly, and without hesitation said that they would have a new magazine to me in two days. Say what you want about their guns (I like them), but you can't knock that kind of service. Outstanding! I wish other major firearms companies that I have dealt with would take a lesson from Hi-Point.
Of note, the Hi-Point folks said they run into this a good bit, as some retailers swipe the magazines before shipping (and re-sell them).

Good customer service. I am glad it worked out for you.
The Hi-point Carbine is a clunky, odd looking critter....that being said, mine would shoot 2" groups at 100 yards and never FTF or FTE....I always enjoyed messing with folks at the range when they commented on my "Planet of the Apes" rifle 😜 I always thought they were a great little carbine for the price !
My buddy had one and ran over it with his pickup truck by accident...he called Hi-Point and they sent him a new one...that is great customer service !!!!
Exactly. Studies show that customers expect a product to be right. That doesn't impress them. The biggest factor in brand loyalty is how a company responds when there is a problem.
I have sent several pistols back to Hi-Point, and/or their predecessors and associates, for repair or replacement. I have never been disappointed.
Yep, I've got some Companies on my XXXX list and adding more quite often now days, companies that do not understand what keeps customers coming back and also PEOPLE LIKE ME NOT RECOMMENDING THEIR PRODUCTS TO OTHERS.
When they leave a bad taste in mouth mouth it NEVER GOES AWAY.
I have often thought about a Hi-Point carbine in 9mm............maybe I will spring on one now. And a 9mm handgun just for the "gangsta factor".............lol
"Dey be all gangsta and stuff"
I bought one of the 9MM carbines and like @William81 said, they are kinda clunky and ugly to a lot of folks, but it always goes bang and I've never had any issues, so if you want tuff and reliable I'd recommend them, if you want pretty with FTE/FTF go for the more popular 9MM carbines. As for the pistols I haven't tried one yet but they are heavier and I've seen videos and read reviews about how tuff and reliable they are, so if an opportunity comes along I'd buy one.
