Poor Martha the cat......it is going to be a tough few days for her...a little update

Martha had a visit with the Vet yesterday for a little procedure...she is an outdoor cat and now she will have to spend up to a week in the house with us.....Our daughter in law is allergic to cats so Martha can not have a run of the house. Today I fixed up a place in the back unfinished area of our basement.. I went to town and found a harness that will not rub her incision. I made a run with a cord where she can walk around some and get to her food and litter. She settled in pretty well and this afternoon she sat on her little bed and watched the Rifleman with me while I rubbed her head...
So we will be trying to keep her calm and entertained until the stitches come out next week...

Looks like your Martha went from a stray to a wonderful loving home. I wish this was the case for all stray dogs and cats.
i wish other people had the good sense to spay their animals. congratulations on being a responsible pet person.
don't let her see herself in a mirror, or you may end up with a few tootsie rolls on your pillow.............
She nipped me a couple times today and then licked me....animals almost look embarrassed when they get stuck wearing a cone....I told my bride Martha is planning her revenge so we better be ready !!!
The Cone of Shame, and a shaved belly, there will be blood!😁 Check your slippers too.
When our cat had the cone he spent most of his time trying to back out of it!
Martha finally figured out that was not going to work.....about 730 last night she managed to get it off and then the fight was on....it took both of us to get it back on...she was very unhappy with us...then the pain killer we gave her took over..today she loves us again...
Going to be a long week I fear !!! But she is worth it
We could never keep the cone on any of our animals, cats or dogs... just make sure they don't lick the stiches too much and she will be fine without it.
My bride has been working in the basement this afternoon......I went to check on them a few minutes ago...and there was Martha covered up, watching TV with my bride.
This is my Venti. We took her in for her spay and stomach tack; I had no idea they would shave her so much!
She was so good, though. Thankfully it all grew back. :)
Sleep with one eye open…
