I started to, but where I was going to put the date of my death, I was totally stumped. So I gave up.

What I have thought about in the past as mine I could not post on here and not get in trouble

Similar like Popeye Sutton the moonshine feller from the TV series had put on his tombstone lol

A former "member" here posted the obit of his "good friend and sensei". It was CLEARLY written by the deceased. Reminded me of john mcCain's self-aggrandizing memorial to himself with a sharp focus on Trump hatred. Never occurred to me to write my own. I haven't done a very good job in this life if I have to remind my family and friends of who I was.

    Arrivederci gigi

I probably had more different/strange events happen in my life than Forrest Gump so I'll take a pass on writing mine and leave that burden to someone else who cares more than me because at the end time I won't be caring anymore. However, I hope I don't discover my wife has mine already written out.....I've never been fond of looking over my shoulder 😮 😀

Sadly, no for myself but I do have a chore ahead of me for a brother who is in his 2nd year fighting lung cancer. He thought he had most everything covered until his wife suddenly passed away a month ago. I now have been given all of the tasks of his last wishes. Last weekend we went fishing together. That day he gave me back 2 gifts I had given him many years ago. A muzzle loading rifle and a pistol I had made for him. 😢

Same here, I have the same family members. Other than being a veteran not much to write about anyways. Always tried to keep life simple and so will be the end.

Other than a church service before cremation I have told my wife that I want her to rent a space and have a party with family.

    I’m not done living, yet.

No funeral here, celebration of life. We write our own obituary with every word we say and step we take.

Folks walk by an open casket and say "he looks so good". He!! he is dead so he should look dead.

Throw a going away party when I am gone, BBQ, prime rib, shrimp, the best.

Play Stairway to Heaven by Led Zepplin, Gimmie Shelter by the Stones, and Nothing else matters by Metallica.

I tried this awhile back but after the 16th page our printer ran out of ink.

Let no man write my epitaph.

It's too late for me, save yourself.

I have always treated people the way I expect to be treated. Other than that what does it matter?

Thought I would see if i could use Hub's- it was pretty good.

I've fought in two World Wars and countless smaller ones on three continents. I led thousands of men into battle with everything from horses and swords to artillery and TANKS! I've seen the headwaters of the Nile, and tribes of natives no white man had ever seen before. I've won and lost a dozen fortunes, KILLED MANY MEN! And loved only one woman, with a passion a FLEA like you could never begin to understand.

Local gent had an obit- In keeping with Walt's desires, there will be no funeral. However, friends are invited to join us Saturday afternoon at our place on the river for drinks and remembrances. At dusk Walt's ashes will be fired out over the river from his favorite cannon.

I just like the idea of having a FAVORITE cannon.
