Colt Combat Commander, in the box, never fired with Colt paperwork, instruction book and GUN WORLD subscription card. The box has Code 4612 Serial #70BS7901 Caliber .45 Blued Date code 12.
Can anyone give an approx value and manufacture date?
Thanks in advance, I am helping an old friend.

...Its a "Series 70" Colt...produced from 1970 until around 1982-3...pretty much a smaller, shorter barrel version of the full size Colt 1911...
...Box and paperwork is obviously a plus...as for as value, depends on the condition...even if it has no takedown scratches etc, its still considered a "used" gun...you might try the Colt Mfg. site for more precise info...
$1,200-1,400. 1972

Used prices are HIGH.. I was very hesitant but had 2 put on GB. North of 5k and still going until tomorrow. I’d be happy to bid on his colt.
Double that.
