Older Charles Daly 1911 compatibility

I have an older Charles Daly 1911 5”(likely Empire Grade), frame stamped “made in Philippines”, mag stamped “made in Italy”, ser# begins “CD”. I want to use a suppressor on it but it has factory non-threaded bbl. I contacted Charles Daly about bbl compatibility and their response was “that was made before we purchased the name and can’t/won’t give info on it”. Are these older CD considered MILSPEC and any run-of-the-mill 1911 barrel is compatible, or were/are the barrels proprietary and nothing else fits?
Thank you

It's made by Rock Island, and it's GI spec. Any barrel that uses a bushing will work.
Most cans will obscure the iron sights on a 1911.
You may want to visit your local Class III dealer; he may save you money & frustration in the long run.
