Every once in a while you have one of those really great days.........

My oldest son came down for a visit.. This was the son that got had a medical issue back at the end of May. He has bounced back well, was cleared to start driving again and will hopefully be totally released by the Docs in the next 30 days or so....we are very thankful for how well things have moved forward for him...

Yesterday we got rolling early. We went out to breakfast and then drove to an outdoor range and a couple lakes about 30 minutes from our place. We shot a couple boxes of 9mm through a couple different pistols and then 150 or rounds of .22 LR. Great time....we had the place to ourselves.

Next we ran over and fished in a couple spots with limited success and finally hit a small runoff pool at the end of a spillway. Crappies, some small bass and bluegills...we had a chance to talk and catch up on everything in a nice scenic setting...

We headed back home for a great supper and then hit the driveway with a couple of great cigars (Thank you again bigcitybill) and watched the sunset.....Sat and looked at the stars until late and finally all crashed out...

Yesterday was about as close to perfect as it gets !!!!

I admired this guy for being so confident !!!
