I've thought about this 1000 times without actually doing anything. The idea is that if someone has a gun collection that they want me to handle if anything happens to them....this book will help that go as planned.
Its just a log book with my info on it. You put your gun info in the book like normal, noting any special instructions....such as "this belonged to my Grandfather" or "give to my nephew Charles".
They sent me a sample book and I ordered stickers to put on the cover. The books are on the way. Any of you that want one email your address and as soon as the book arrive I will get one coming your way!
My direct email is mckaygunsales@gmail.com

how many pages are in that book, i may need an extra or three
I think there are 25 pages, two sided, so 50 guns.....tell me how many you need and I'll be happy to send extras to you.
That's the exact book I use for personal inventory. I think it's a good one.
good book guy i use thiers for a long time
Great idea Kasey, I sent you a request for two.
Very generous offer on your part, but I just use an Excel spreadsheet with columns for Type (rifle, shotgun, pistol), Style (bolt, semi auto, revolver), Caliber, Manufacturer, Model #, Serial #, Papered or not, Date of Purchase, Purchase price, Estimated value and Notes where I can put anything extra about it. That way I can sort it by any of the columns if needed and can also find any one particular item quickly.
It is a generous offer and thank you.
Good thinking there. Great for both parties.
I figure if my contact info is on there it is also a way to keep up with my info without having to search it out for people that just want to send me one or two as well. Even if someone isn't really planning to use my services, I don't mind sending them a book.....you never know, someone might ask who does consignment sales for a reasonable rate that they trust and they'll be able to give them my info.
I just looked at my spreadsheet and you first disposed of some for me in June, 2013 and then I waited 5 years until another round in July, 2018. Waited another two years until June, 2020 and then again in November, 2020. My bride definitely has your contact info for when I am no longer around with instructions on what to do after sons/grandsons pick a certain number for themselves.
Its amazing how time flies on by. I feel like some instances were just a few months ago....but they are several years back in reality.
Received them in the mail yesterday.
Very nice of you, thanks!
Awesome!
I've got more on order.....so anyone wanting a book, a few books for their records or some to share....let me know!
I got mine.
Thank you Kasey.
