Ever had someone pay for you meal at a drive up ??

Running around town last evening before a meeting at church.....decided to grab a sandwich at Arby's. We ordered and rolled up to the window to pay.... The girl behind the counter said the family in the car in front of you paid...

We looked ahead and the guy gave us a wave and drove away....No one we knew and the plate was from Arkansas.. We waved back and they were off. So we paid for the family behind us....Made the whole meal more enjoyable...

Nope. It has never happened to me. I have paid for the vehicle behind me many times though.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

You do know that there is a joke about that situation.

Guy was in line at drive thru and left a bit of space between car in front of him. Car behind him beeped their horn at him being impatient.

So the first guy when he got to the drive through window he said he was paying and picking up his order and the car behind him and they gave him both orders.

He pulled up and waited to watch the car behind him pull up to drive through to see their reaction finding out he had paid and picked their order. He drove off with their food after seeing their reaction.

So now the impatient driver had to go back through the drive up line again to get their food.

That happened at a Starbucks in the town where my folks lived, and it got the ball rolling so everyone was doing it. Word got out on the radio and there was a massive line at the drive-through. They kept it going for better than 5 hours.

I just love stuff like that 😊

It happened to me at a drive through window a year ago in Asheville. I pulled up to the window to pay and they said that the lady before me had paid my bill. About $7.

I was astonished, I never had heard of this before. I got a quick look just as she turned onto the highway, it was a black lady about 40 years old, in an expensive late model SUV.

Happened to me once at Popeye's. I was by myself and had ordered only the $4 chicken sandwich, but of course, I felt I should pay for the car behind me. It was a family who'd ordered about $35 worth of stuff. I felt REALLY good about it as I ate my little sandwich.

    Arrivederci gigi

In my days wearing Uncle Sam's uniform and in Red Dixie states, yes.

Conversely in concentrated Blue DEMOCRAT cities you dont want to be seen in uniform.

I was at the counter in BK and the guy next to me asked the counter person what he could get for $2.11. Now, this guy could have been a total loser, a con man, or legit USMC veteran but at the time, it didn't matter. I laid a $5 (this was at a time when $5 got you a decent meal at BK) on the counter in front of him and said "Get what you want". There was a group of construction workers behind me who noted the gesture. I can guarantee that guy ate well that day and maybe for the next week.

My wife and I took her sister out to a nice steak house for her birthday. There was a man I had done some business with and his wife eating several table away, and I spoke to him as we went in. When we finished, our waitress told me that my friend had paid our tab, close to $100! I saw him a couple of weeks later and thanked him. He told me that he had heard why we were there, and to tell my SIL "Happy Birthday"!

I have paid it forward at a few fast food spots.
