Anyone been out bow hunting this year ??

I am ready to get out there, but the weather has been awful....highs in the 90's and still in the 70's at night...

Has anyone been out there ?

Our bow season here in Michigan doesn't start until Oct. 1st William. I did get out this morning for our special 2 day private land doe hunt however. Enjoyed the scenery of the Sept. woods but didn't see any deer. I did * a bobcat as I was leaving my blind. He was off to the left of my field of view in the blind and didn't seem to leave in any kind of hurry. Just kind of moseyed into the drying ferns at a slow pace.

I will hit it again in the morning. Using one of my flintlock rifles as that is all I ever hunt with. The state just started this special hunt last year and I had no luck then but you never know. Kind of funny how much different the woods looks 2 months before the real rifle season starts! There sure is a lot of cover for the wildlife in Sept.

Bow season started September 15th here in MO....I had some successful scouting sessions early in the month....plenty of deer on the game camera and a few decent bucks. Lots of other critter also showing up on the game cameras....

Opens in Wis today. Still too many knats and mosquitoes. Ill wait a week or three.

just got some new property last week, got most of my stuff set up, cut few trails for side x side, and set up two cameras, found a nice place to set up the blind, but I think this year I am gonna get a 2-3 man blind just in case the grandkids want to hunt, will pick it up first of week and get it set up then, our bow season starts in few weeks and if the weather cools down a little will give it a try then, been to hot so far, we have a kids hunt next weekend but just doesn't seem like hunting season when its 90 and your sweating just sitting......
