Money Order Sent \\ Scammed?

Hi,
Sent money order for the gun listed below and his reviews were decent. Upon waking up today; his scam reviews went live and it was too late to do anything. I have been referred here from a friend and a year to search for an gun at a reasonable cost. What do you guys think? He’s communicating and promises to send a picture and send it out tomorrow but it doesn’t smell right after an email and text about taxes and taking the ad down for number or reasons. I feel so ashamed but I hope this isn’t a scam but it seems it is

If he is still communicating you might be OK. I was scammed on some ammo a few years ago. Feedback was good until a day or so after purchase. I followed the rules and did get in on the Federal prosecution, with a lot of other buyers, but never did receive a refund.
List the auction please..

Ok, here we go before poofing: Look at this guys history makes me wonder why he is on GunBroker,
Can't find the auction
I see that the 'seller' is no longer a registered user. Good!
Hopefully you can recover your money.

Money order no bueno.
I prefer to send and receive personal and business checks. If it's lost, the maker can simply cut another check. The maker can also stop payment if he sends a check and the deal starts to smell bad.
Go to Post Office and get it filed to get the money order canceled. It will take a while but you will be reimbursed.
Many alias as well. At least I was in time and now I learned my lesson. Guess I have to wait for a store to receive some SP5 and not marked up 2K over msrp. The hunt continues. Thanks everyone for the comments and help.
good luck with that , IF he has all ready cashed it , that money is gone
Hasn’t been delivered and paid for a mail intercept with USPS
Looks to me like the account may have been hacked. Look at the wording in both the listing and the replies in the feedback area. Then there is a P.O. box as an address that I would check to see if it was recently changed.
I'm sorry you got had. The wording in the listing would have kept me from bidding. Correct proper English is often not there but this person obviously had an issue with the flow of written English.
You can not longer look at a seller's feedback and research the history on what they sold and how the listing read as GB stopped keeping that information available to us. You can only go back a short time. Had you been able to look at their listings from last year you probably would have notices a difference in the way they were written and known something was wrong. I'm just speculating on that.
You have to assume that anything on the internet may be a scam. I would never send a large amount of money to someone with that small of a history. I want to see many sales and successful transactions before I bid that much. With smaller amounts I might take a risk.
The Seller had on 7 transactions all sales no buys,
4 are F feedback and 3 are A+ for an overall rating of C.
Now I repeat: Why is he on GB?
