Have these Minie balls been fired?

I recently purchased a few minie balls said to have been picked up on the Chickamauga Battlefield many years ago. One of the bullets shows deformation on front and back end. The grooves at the back of the bullet have disappeared. This bullet has clearly been fired. The other bullets show no deformation and the grooves are clearly visible. Would these grooves still be visible if the bullet had been fired?

There are A LOT of pictures of old minie balls if you google "minie ball." I do not see any with flattened grooves at the base .
