Watch in Horror as a Truckload of New C8 Corvettes Goes Up in Flames (msn.com)
Corvette fans, you might want to look away for this one.
Videos shared early on Wednesday by Corieblue Fickes to Facebook show what looks to be a truckload of newly built C8-generation Chevrolet Corvettes going up in flames in a parking lot roughly 30 minutes north of Nashville, Tennessee—about an hour and a half south of the car's Bowling Green, Kentucky assembly plant.
By the time the first video starts, half the trailer is already engulfed in fire, with at least one Corvette totally charred. In the second video, firefighters can be seen attempting to extinguish the flames. Both videos can be seen below (mind the explicit language).
Corvette Blogger, which first discovered the videos via the C8 Corvette Owners Group on Facebook, says the transport truck seen in the above clips can carry up to 10 Corvettes at a time. The publication estimates a loss of around $900,000 if every Corvette is deemed a total loss.

Going to be some sad folks that waited to have one built.
Watch me not care. They can build more, lots more. If that was a trailer of Cords or Auburns or Stutzes or Duesenbergs you’d see me shedding a few tears.
Oh, the humanity!
Damn that sucks
Got to keep those kentucky folks busy.
I'd shed a tear if this trailer caught fire. I asked the driver whose they were and he replied "The owner prefers not to say". There was another split window Vette and a suicide Lincoln further aft.
The fire department wasn't too serious about putting that fire out (at least in that short clip). One hose, handled by single firefighter, not hardly worth the effort.
They should all be shipped enclosed... Reliable carriers..
For the 1000 the buyers who ordered them could have taken the Museum Delivery on them. Fly in.. drive home.
